The gardeners
Founder Composing for television, film, radio and the internet for over 15 years.
Founder of The Sound Gardener, he has been composing music for television, film, radio and the internet for over 15 years.
Having developed a passion for music from an early age, he has mastered several instruments, including the guitar, which he studied at the conservatoire as a child.
His curiosity has led him to explore different musical worlds, from pop bands playing in pubs to perfecting his mastery of the tenor saxophone, with a particular interest in jazz.
Over the years, he has travelled to China, Thailand, Russia and Morocco to record traditional music, leaving behind a legacy of enriching encounters and life-changing experiences. In his quest for lifelong learning, he attended Berklee to study music composition for film and television. He draws his inspiration from minimalist music and finds his bearings with eminent composers such as Philip Glass, Steve Reich and John Adams. A great admirer of classical French composers such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, he also appreciates the modern works of film composers Alexandre Desplat and Cliff Martinez in particular.
His artistic approach revolves around repetitive acoustic music combined with electronic sounds, and the creation of captivating orchestral textures. His work has been broadcast on channels such as France 2, France 3, BBC 2, BBC 4 and NBC.
Composer Twelve years supervising audio post-production at Prodigious / Publicis.
With 12 years of experience at Prodigious / Publicis, he has supervised the audio post-production of major brands such as SFR, Carrefour, Castorama and Matmut, with more than 1,000 soundtracks produced.
Innovative and forward-thinking, he values technology watch and intelligent innovation to rethink production methods.
He is also the initiator of the TalkBox project, which enables the integration of synthetic voices into Publicis Group productions.
Convinced that creativity also depends on workflow ergonomics, he places process fluidity at the heart of his artistic and technical approach.
Composer Composes for audiobooks, podcasts, documentaries, advertising and sound identity.
Pierre-Antoine’s musical adventure began when he was a child, at the Angoulême Conservatoire.
He soon began working on his first projects, playing in various groups and moving from the stage to the studio. From this came a desire to capture his ideas and shape them with computer music production.
He then perfected this knowledge at the ISTS (Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Son), which gave him expertise and a global understanding of music production. Alongside his studies, he took on his first composition commissions.
As well as composing and producing for artists, Pierre-Antoine currently composes for media such as audiobooks, podcasts, documentaries, advertising and sound identity.
Composer AKA Le Fat Club. Analogue sounds, drum machines and electronica since 1999.
Simon, AKA Le Fat Club, began his electronic experiments in 1999, inspired by the club scene and electronica sounds.
In the 2000s, he began composing for images, between fiction (Asylum, 2005) and advertising campaigns in the luxury sector (Chanel, Dior, Issey Miyake).
A lover of analogue sounds and an adept of drum machines, he also likes to mix organic sounds with the depth of electronic sounds, between 80s aesthetics and techno references.
Sound Designer A musician since childhood, with more than 10 years in music for image and sound creation.
A true music and sound enthusiast, Julien sees music and sound design as two ways of speaking about sound creation.
He works across many areas of sound creation: music for image (advertising, animation, documentary, fiction…), sonic identity (sound logos, jingles…), digital creation (apps, sound experiences, loops, site sound design…), sound design (foley, sound effects), and production music (music libraries, background scores).
A musician since early childhood, he has been a professional in music for image for more than 10 years. He worked as a music supervisor before fully committing to sound creation. As every project is unique, he pays close attention to needs and meaning, aiming for the right emotion and respect for the image.
In his studio, he particularly enjoys searching, digging into and shaping sound texture and performance. He likes to think of musical creation as a kind of sculpting of sonic material, where chance can play its part.
